Baggyrinkle, brought together by Dave Robinson (retired) and managed by the long suffering but brilliant Terri Kennedy, are in their 29th year.  Our close friendship underpins our singing. We are probably the only shanty group in the U.K. with a constitution that starts “Baggyrinkle aims to have fun”. And we do! Baggyrinkle are renowned for laughing through breakfast when at festivals – usually at Alan’s jokes and our own dreams. We have graced festivals and venues across Europe and the USA having a “Welsh choir” approach to harmonies in many choruses. Gathering from all walks of life, members past roles include doctor, medical scientist, nurse, headmaster, jewellery maker, businessman, and NHS manager. Harmonies are created “on the night”. Although Shanties are our mainstay, we also sing mining, rural & drinking songs.
